Inclusive Physical Education in Ontario’s Schools

In partnership with the Ontario Physical Health and Education Association (Ophea), Dr. Rebecca Bassett-Gunter’s research focuses on evaluating inclusive physical education practices for children with disabilities in Ontario schools. The goals of this multi-phase project include identifying the barriers to and facilitators of teachers’ implementation of inclusive physical education in schools and developing tools and resources to help train and support teachers around inclusive physical education practices.  Dr. Bassett-Gunter's work is supported by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada and the Canadian Disability Participation Project.
